WHAT ARE COLD AND FLU SYSMPTOMS?

COLD and FLU SYMPTOMS

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF A COLD
Fever is rare
Chills are uncommon
Stuffy nose is commonly present and resolves spontaneously within a week
Sore throat is commonly present
Cough that is hacking and mucus-producing is often present
Sneezing is commonly present
Body aches and pains can be symptoms
Fatigue and tiredness is mild
Decreased appetite may be a symptom
Headache is uncommon
Chest discomfort may be mild to moderate
Symptoms take a few days to develop

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF INFLUENZA (FLU)
Fever present in 80% of cases. Temperature of 100 F or higher for 3 to 4 days.
Chills present in 60% of cases.
Runny nose
Sore throat irritation is common but not always present with flu
Dry Cough
Chest discomfort may be severe
Headache is common in 80% of cases
Muscles aches and pains may be severe
Fatigue may range from moderate to severe
Decreased appetite
Symptoms may hit suddenly within hours with fever and aches

INFLUENZA IS A CONTAGIOUS VIRAL RESPIRATORY INFECTION. Typically, the condition will improve after two to three days of bed rest, although some symptoms may persist for about a week. Death caused by flu virus is very rare. The majority of so-called “flu deaths” are due to bacterial pneumonia – a potential complication of the flu if your immune system is too weak. Other complications can include ear or sinus infections, dehydration, or worsening of existing chronic health conditions. The elderly and people with pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease, are at higher risk of developing pneumonia after a bout of the flu.

DON’T PANIC IF YOU GET THE FLU!
1) Keep hydrated. Stay home. Get REST. Consume a liquid diet of vegetable juices and soups. Drink Aloe Vera juice. Do not eat sugary foods or drink sodas as these lower the immune system’s response. Do not consume dairy products as they are mucus forming.

2) SUPPLEMENT: Garlic supplement, Astragalus herbal supplement (stronger than Echinacea,) Colloidal Silver or Silver Shield, Limu juice (sea herbal - drink in ounces throughout the day.) If allergies or sensitivities are common, see a qualified doctor to know if your program is safe for you.

3) Take Vitamin D3 – this is one of the most evidence-based interventions available for reducing incidence and severity of seasonal colds and flu. The data is very, very strong.
